Neurological Rehabilitation

The nervous system is affected by many diseases. Many injuries, degenerations, structural defects, tumors and circulatory problems devastate the nervous system.

Physical therapy and rehabilitation applications enable the patient to reach their maximum functional capacity in diseases such as stroke (hemiplegia) caused by bleeding or blockage in cerebral vessels, paralysis resulting from traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, and facial paralysis as a result of regional nerve injuries, drop foot.

In the treatment of muscle stiffness called "spasticity", besides drug therapy, exercise, local botulinum toxin (botox) injections and orthotics are applied. Physiotherapy, local injections and orthoses are applied in the treatment of nerve injuries that may occur in the arms and legs and nerve compressions such as carpal tunnel syndrome. The aim of the neurological rehabilitation program is to bring the person to the most active state possible and to help him achieve functional independence. For this reason, it is necessary to prevent, minimize and, if possible, eliminate the problems caused by the disease or that may occur later.
